He became an officer cadet right after high school and made a very quick career after several successful "security missions" on behalf of the CDC. In military questions he now has almost the same "fireman"-status as Alice Tharin.
He never questions if he is really doing the right thing and keeps his head in any situation - which does not mean that he also keeps his temper though. You are better on the other side of the galaxy if he is really mad.

Author's note

I always compare him with the bomb-throwing guys in the movie "Outbreak" - probably the most reasonable character, but also completely wrong.
